Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan is the Head of Aikido Kenkyukai International/ A.K.I & founder of Shonan Aikido Renmei.
1. Profile of Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan
Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan
Name of Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan (8th Dan) in most of aikidokas in Indonesia is still strange, but in Japan and other side of world his name has become a lliving legend. Yoshinobu Takeda started to learn aikido since he was so young, with his teacher Seigo Yamaguchi Shihan, one of uchidesi from Morihei Ueshiba Sensei (O’ sensei). In the same time with Koichi Tohei Sensei and Hiroshi Tada Sensei.
As explained by Tatsuo Kimura Sensei “During that time I was often with Yamaguchi Sensei all day. He would many times say that his dream was to find some method to deal with any power no matter how strong without using (physical) strength. He said he was searching to find this method.” (discovering aiki,2005) even until today Seigo Yamaguchi Shihan still known as aikido legend in main budo magazine version in Japan called “Hidden Budo”. Due to his unique teaching, so he could help junior aikidoka to understand the essence of aikido.
It seems that Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan has heird his teacher which known as “The Best student of Yamaguchi Shihan”. Although he’s never made an aikido book, his name often being mentioned in some books of aikido written by great sensei like William Gleason Sensei, a friend of Mistugi Saotome Shihan who tell that “He (Takeda Sensei) picked me up when I was down and has continued to help and teach me ever since. Without his support and teaching I can’t imagine how I ever would have succeeded with my aikido studies in Japan”. (Spiritual Fooundation of Aikido)
Tatsuo Kimura Sensei in his book “Discovering Aiki” had told his experience learning from Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan.
For people who have a chance to practise and learn from Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan, what he told is a deep understanding of aikido. An aikido from essencial side, not only a collection of moving techniques.
2. Learning methode of Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan
Yoshinobu Takeda Shihan
The methode while learning aikido emphasize on the sense beside the movement. The body condition should be rileks/natural, and the “hara” not only means as the balance spot or the pivot of movement, but we should also manifest the “Aiki” where “Hara” will be functioned as a black hole, suck everything inside.
Takeda Shihan called this phenomena with “Suikomi” (absorbing). This thing can’t be described except with our sense. When practise, the students will be asked to inspect this phenomena so they will understand aikido deeper.
3. “No Touch” Phenomenon
The other thing which make Takeda Shihan unique is what he told about “No Touch” Phenomenon. He always says that everyone can do it in simple steps.

Today, 2 days before Idul Fitri, so many people have prepared their vacation to their family in their village. Wow, such a nice event that happened only once a year. Idul Fitri is the day when moslems celebrate their victory after a full month doing fasting, a big effort, biggest jihad, not only keep their stomach from meal, but also keep their mouth from useless talking, keep the emotional, and fill their souls with a clear and sacred mind.
And today, my honey is doing her trip with her cousin, travel from Jakarta to Palembang. Huh, what a lazy trip, with a car, with a high traffic jam, and hot. Haha, it will cost 2 days to get there. Poor my sweety.
But with this trip you can save your own money yeah….
